Mr. M. Nagarajan is the Founder and Managing Trustee of Vaigai Nathi Makkal Iyakkam Charitable Trust. He is a Political Science graduate. He has been working to restore the Vaigai River since the year 2007.

To save the "Vaigai River".

VAIGAI MISSION

1. Removal of solid waste in the river.

2. Flushing out sewage stagnant in the river.

3. Cleaning weeds and leveling the river base.

4. Construction of check dams 5 feet above river bed.

5. Removing encroachments and widening road along the banks.

6. Strengthening the river bund.

7. Constructing walk ways, gardens, parks and bathing ghats at suitable intervals.

8. Reviving cultural and religious significance of the river.
