The Vaigai Dam has had excess flow of water due to the unconventional rains in the past few days. It is to be noted that the Dam has been opened for Chithirai festival after a long time. The Dam has nearly 5 feet more water than it had last year. The Dam has been opened and water has started flowing into the Vaigai Rivet basin for Chithirai festival.
